FSR: Second in Melbourne

Patrick finishes second in Melbourne

Just before qualification Patrick’s car suddenly lost all power and the team barely got him out in time for qualifying. He had to fight for a good position on the grid in an unstable car and with almost no grip in the last sector. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to get a good lap together and he had to settle for 13th position. Not the start Patrick had in mind for the season opener.

Pre-season testing proved Patrick’s speed already and he took a long shot by choosing a three-stop strategy. Together with Roy Kolbe, the later winner, he was the only driver with that daring strategy. A strategy that brought him second place in the season opener. A good and solid opener from Patrick.

The race was exciting and packed with lots of action. In the end Patrick was closing in on Roy Kolbe (Twister Racing) and he had to keep Lee Morris (TMo – IPForge.com) behind him, but he once more showed his incredible talent and his maturity by taking this fantastic second place home for Faster Than Speed.

Congratulations Patrick!
