F1Career: Patrick wins again!

F1Career - Patrick wins in Bahrain

The third race of the season was always gonna be a difficult one, but little did Patrick know how difficult. Initially he thought he would be placed back ten positions on the grid after the qualification and that turned out to be a mistake. He received a +10 position penalty in the Chinese GP instead. Unbeknownst to him, he had lost his Chinese win and had a heavy car due to his chosen 1 stop strategy. Qualifying 7th, he had a tough race ahead of him.

Luckily Patrick never shies away from any race and showed what he is made off on the Sakhir cicruit. Racing ’til the end resulted in his third – or now second – win of the season. Congratulations, Patrick!

F1Career: Shanghai – Official Results [update]

The official results of the Chinese Grand Prix have been revised. The stewards have penalized three drivers for their actions on track and Patrick was one of them. Patrick was aware of his actions and doesn’t dispute the penalty he was given. Paolo Bettini and Vitale Rosetti have been penalized as well.

The results of the Chinese Grand Prix have been revised due to position penalties of Paolo Bettini (+5), Patrick de Wit (+10) and Vitale Rosetti (+4).

F1Career: Bahrain – testing

The TBT drivers have driven their first pre-qualify practice laps on the Sakhir circuit and they are both reasonably optimistic. Patrick will have a tough race ahead of him due to the penalty, although he is adjusting his pit strategy to make the most of it. His teammate, Igor Maiden, is struggling a little to find the right setup on the sandy desert circuit. However, they are both ready and able to race tonight and bring as many points to the TBT-team as possible!

The top 8 drivers are all within a second of the very fast Giulio Bettini. It will be a long and hard race for everyone, but it promises to be another close and exciting race. Patrick will be fighting hard for every position and points that come with it. He told us that he aims for a top 10 position.

The engines will start shortly and it ain’t over ’til the chequered flag drops!

F1Career: Round 3 – Bahrain GP – preview

Tonight the Sakhir circuit will host the third race of the 2009/2010 F1Career F1 Championship. Although Patrick has won the first two races, he will have to fight for every point in Bahrain due to a penalty. Patrick received a +10 grid penalty for an unfortunate race incident in China. To keep his and the team’s championship dream alive he and his teammate, Igor Maiden, need to drive home as many points as they can.

Let’s hope Patrick and the TBT-team will burn their rubber in Bahrain!
